If the Republicans had stood their ground, the bill would have failed. Enough Republicans rolled over to pass the bill.</span></p></span><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'" /><span style="font-size: 7.5pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'">The climate change bill, a legislative priority of Pres. Obama's, centers on a renewable electricity standard and a cap-and-trade policy aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.&nbsp;In addition, higher&nbsp;energy taxes are expected to double the cost of fuel, emissions, how houses are built, financed, and improved. Perhaps we should have spent the day lobbying the House for America, Americans, and our Constitution. Many of the provisions are direct violations of the Constitution giving unelected officials regulatory power over us without elected official oversight, or citizen oversight of them. America has now instituted Taxation Without Representation. The Patriots of 1776&nbsp;had it right, no representation, no tax.
